Overview
Operations Communications & Events Manager role at KFC UK & Ireland. The role partners with the Restaurant Support Centre to keep restaurants connected, informed, and energized, translating strategy into stories and plans into purpose.
Responsibilities
- Lead how we talk to our teams: shape and deliver clear, engaging content for 30,000+ team members, ensuring updates are timely, consistent, and aligned with the brand.
- Be the go-to for cross-functional comms: own the window communication process across Marketing, Innovation, REX, Supply Chain, and agency partners to create high-quality, on-brand content and support restaurant goals.
- Bring big moments to life: manage comms for new product and system launches, oversee testing, and ensure tools and messages are clear and actionable for the field.
- Keep the system connected: create and deliver key business updates (monthly and all-team cascades) to help leaders land big messages with clarity and confidence.
- Champion people stories: lead employer brand advocacy, activate ambassadors, and spark engagement across channels with Internal Comms and People teams.
- Make annual Franchise Celebration Day and Awards unforgettable: plan and deliver content, timelines, and logistics with agency partners.
About you
- A natural communicator with strong writing, confident speaking, and storytelling skills.
- Comfortable presenting and facilitating in person or virtual settings.
- Organised and detail-focused with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word); experience with content or design platforms is a bonus.
- Excellent relationship builder and stakeholder manager across all levels of the business.
- Analytical mindset; uses data to shape smarter communication strategies.
Experience
- Seasoned internal or operations comms professional, ideally in fast-paced, multi-site, or retail/hospitality environments.
- Proven track record managing cross-functional projects and working with external agencies.
- Hands-on experience creating content that connects with audiences across multiple channels.
- Understanding of marketing and brand activation and how comms and brand work together to drive impact.
