Management Accountant

What will you do? Make an impact!
We're seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to lead an efficient and accurate month-end close process, implement and monitor robust internal financial controls, support a smooth and timely UK audit, and drive continuous improvement across the financial control environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Produce accurate month-end management accounts
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to audit standards, including intercompany accounts
- Review and post recurring and non-recurring monthly journals
- Provide monthly reporting and variance analysis for the management team
- Ensure correct accounting and capitalisation of fixed assets in line with group policy
- Support business partners with budgets, forecasts, and other ad hoc tasks
- Assist with UK group audits and statutory account preparation
- Respond to auditor and tax queries
- Carry out other ad hoc duties as required
Do you have what it takes?
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified/qualified by experience
- Proven industry experience in management accounting, statutory accounts, and large-scale reconciliations
- Previous experience in a similar finance role, ideally within a large, multi-site business
- Strong SAP Finance module knowledge and advanced Excel skills
- Track record of improving financial controls and supporting IT developments
- Strong interpersonal skills with a hands-on, team-focused attitude
- Commercially aware, with the ability to influence and support wider business goals
- High integrity, strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset
