Based in the heart of Lakeside, we offer free on-site parking and are open Monday to Saturday, 9am – 8pm, and Sundays from 11am – 5pm—making it easy to find a working pattern that suits you. We offer flexibility to help you achieve a great work-life balance, whether you\'re after full-time, part-time, condensed hours, or flexible shifts.

We’re proud to have Clinical Directors who began their journey right here, completing their Pre-reg in this store, progressing through the Pathway programme, and going on to become Specsavers Partners. We’re passionate about supporting the same progression for every member of our team—whether you\'re aiming for clinical development or management and partnership opportunities.

Our store is well-equipped with six test rooms and the latest clinical technology, including the Fully Assisted Refraction System (FARS). We also offer a variety of enhanced clinical services such as MECS appointments, Post-Op Cataract follow-ups, and Glaucoma Repeat Readings, giving you the opportunity to expand your clinical expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

We do need you to have a few skills to get started in this role. First, you’ll need to be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date). You’ll also need to be confident and passionate about providing the best customer service and be able to supervise our pre reg optometrists.
