Overview

Oracle Cloud HCM Consultant (with Payroll expertise) — Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite); Contract Length: 6 months; IR35 Status: Outside IR35.

The Role

We are seeking multiple experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Consultant with strong Payroll expertise to support a major transformation programme. The successful candidate will be hands-on across multiple HCM modules (Core HR, Absence, Benefits, Time & Labour), while taking ownership of Payroll delivery to ensure statutory compliance and seamless integration.

This is a delivery-focused role, ideal for someone with multiple end-to-end Oracle Cloud HCM implementations, covering Payroll alongside wider HCM functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the configuration and implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud modules, with a focus on Payroll.
  • Translate business requirements into Oracle best practice solutions across Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Benefits, and Time & Labour.
  • Configure Payroll (fast formulas, elements, balances, costing, statutory compliance).
  • Support Payroll parallel runs, reconciliation, and HMRC compliance.
  • Provide functional support across Core HR, Absence, Benefits, and Time & Labour.
  • Conduct workshops and provide guidance to HR and Payroll stakeholders.
  • Prepare and execute test scripts (SIT/UAT), support defect resolution.
  • Produce documentation (configuration workbooks, training material, process notes).
  • Advise stakeholders on risks, opportunities, and best practice across HCM.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years' Oracle HCM/Payroll experience (EBS and/or Cloud).
  • Minimum 2 full Oracle Cloud HCM implementations including Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Payroll legislation (RTI, pensions, auto-enrolment, HMRC compliance).
  • Broad coverage of HCM modules (Core HR, Absence, Benefits, Time & Labour).
  • Experience with Payroll integrations (Finance, Benefits, Time & Labour).
  • Expertise in Fast Formulas, Elements, Balances, Costing.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Proficient with Oracle HCM reporting (OTBI, BI Publisher).
