Enforcement & Market Oversight (EMO) is responsible for market monitoring, the UK Listing Authority, and investigation and prosecution of misconduct. The Market Oversight directorate oversees primary and secondary market participants and promotes order and efficiency.

Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with trading venues to improve completeness and accuracy of order book data.
  • Lead policy development to enhance the RTS24 order book data regime.
  • Manage and mentor an associate, supporting team growth.
  • Advance analytical tools and alerts for monitoring order book performance.
  • Identify innovative data use cases to support market integrity.
  • Build deep technical expertise in trading venue operations and data reporting.

Minimum Skills Required

  • Experience in transaction, post‑trade or order book data reporting.
  • Experience in trading venue supervision or policy.
  • Experience in market abuse surveillance and enquiries.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for senior‑level relationships.
  • Sound judgement and decision‑making.
  • Understanding of asset classes and electronic trading systems.
  • Experience with data analytics, visualisations and dashboards; programming skills (SQL, Python) beneficial.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to evolving work activities.
