The Role

Reporting into our People Director, you will support the development and delivery of SNG’s target operating model, working with Senior Leaders and teams across all business areas to analyse, recommend, and implement changes that enable the delivery of the Corporate Plan and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Executive Board and Senior Leaders to develop, implement, and refine SNG’s target operating model, including assessing existing operating models and designing future state operating models
  • Leading the development and implementation of a new Workday target operating model that drives digital transformation, simplified ways of working and a customer‑focused, tiered service delivery model
  • Embedding a robust approach to organisation design using best practice principles, frameworks and methodologies, ensuring consistency and integrity of SNG’s job architecture framework
  • Ensuring that systematic methods of measuring impact, quality and effectiveness are in place
  • Creating the ongoing Organisation Design Roadmap, supporting documentation and implementation plans
  • Supporting transformation change programmes, including restructures, service redesign, mergers and digital transformation
  • Supporting the design and deployment of change management and people engagement activities that ensure people buy‑in to organisation design changes as a result of transparent and inclusive design processes

What we're looking for:

You should have previous experience in a similar role with proven expertise in developing, delivering, and embedding target operating models successfully into organisations of similar size and complexity.

You'll also need:

  • Demonstrable experience and practical application of organisation design principles, methodologies, and best practice
  • A good understanding and experience of change management and change management principles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior leaders, with demonstrable experience of successfully engaging with and influencing at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sense of complex and logical problems quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in producing written reports, presentations, recommendations and performing necessary research
  • Strong organisational skills, effectively managing multiple workstreams in parallel and balancing priorities with a focus on delivery to deadlines and high standards
  • Experience of developing, delivering, and embedding Workday target operating models that drive digital transformation, simplified ways of working and high‑quality ‘self‑service' user experiences
