Services Engineer - CLE MRO TV Flowline Derby

The Civil Large Engines Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Technical Variance Flowline (CLE MRO TV Flowline) addresses all the TVs raised by the MRO bases servicing Civil Large Engines worldwide. A Technical Variance authorises a deviation from a released Rolls-Royce Technical Publication. The MRO TV Flowline is essential for enabling the MRO network to output over 1000 engines per year on time and within budget, directly impacting Rolls-Royce's business.

It also plays a key role in identifying systemic issues and their resolution by the appropriate organisation. As an Overhaul Services Engineer in the CLE MRO TV Flowline, you will support the maintenance and overhaul of gas turbine engines throughout their lifecycle. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of Civil Large Engines in service and the global MRO network operation, which you will influence firsthand. You will work in a diverse environment with colleagues worldwide.

The role requires knowledge of MRO tools and processes, as well as the ability to collaborate across various parts of the Rolls-Royce engineering organisation and the MRO network. It also requires the delegation of the Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE). Candidates who can acquire the CVE delegation in this role will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Approve MRO Technical Variances as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE)
• Develop and maintain engine overhaul processes for technical efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Define and uphold technical requirements for component repair processes
• Ensure technical data meets regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements, managing delivery through the technical authoring supply chain
• Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Operations, Design, and other stakeholders to support and improve processes
• Ensure technical solutions meet requirements, including returning components to serviceable condition

Qualifications and Experience

• Good knowledge of relevant components and systems, considering form, fit, and function
• Understanding of manufacturing engineering and special processes
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and apply manufacturing principles
• Experience in planning and managing multiple projects with competing deadlines, considering customer needs and expectations
