About Role
We are looking for a commercially astute, passionate own‑brand buyer to work in an exciting fast‑paced category. The role is focused on driving sales and profitability of Superdrug Own Brand cosmetics and nail care ranges through a robust commercial plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop own‑brand category plans, including range reviews, launch plans, promotions, pricing and stock that meet the overall commercial strategy and financial targets.
- Plan and execute profitable promotional campaigns, forecasting sales and monitoring performance weekly, monthly and annually, and introducing revised plans as needed.
- Partner with Merchandising to agree strategies that drive own‑brand advantage while managing availability and slow‑moving stock.
- Deliver category reviews incorporating market data, trend data, merchandising, promotional and competitor insights to produce the annual NPD plan.
- Develop new brand concepts and work on existing own‑brand ranges, including product and packaging decisions that align with commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with Marketing, CRM, Online and digital teams to implement relevant marketing and promotion plans.
- Coordinate with International Buying and other European businesses to harmonise products, suppliers and best practice, improving efficiencies.
- Ensure clear, cross‑functional communication and appropriate processes are in place.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging the team and driving category performance.
- Work with Supply Chain to align sales forecasts, maintain availability and minimise slow‑moving stock.

- Previous experience in product management and buying.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret market information.
- Proven track record in brand building and product development.
