EssenceMediacom is a leading WPP Media brand focused on data, analytics and technology to drive breakthroughs for the world's best brands.Role Summary and Impact: We are the EssenceMediacom Worldwide Paid Social team, servicing centrally executed campaigns in multiple languages and coordinating strategic directions across markets. We work on a mix of blue-chip clients including The Coca-Cola Company, Uber, Shell, EY, Dell, Adidas and Sony. We are looking for a driven Paid Social Account Director to create and execute Paid Social strategies across LinkedIn, TikTok and META. The role includes client servicing to high standards, growing new business pipelines, and managing junior team members with growth of resources based on client successes. A proven track record in paid social is required, with experience in direct response and brand client types, and in delivering paid social strategy and operations; managing people, and fostering client relationships.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Skills:Lead on LinkedIn-first paid social strategy to drive brand awareness, demand generation, and lead quality for B2B audiences.Ensure social best practices and continuous optimisation are embedded across campaigns, platforms, and processes.Deep understanding of brand vs. performance objectives in a B2B context (pipeline growth, lead quality, ABM).Position social as a key channel within the marketing mix.Create clear, actionable strategies that align with client KPIs and can scale globally.Identify innovation opportunities, from new LinkedIn features to testing emerging B2B ad formats and martech tools.Foster relationships with media owners to unlock betas and insights.Client Account Management:Act as a trusted advisor to senior B2B marketing stakeholders, shaping paid social strategies to meet targets.Educate and inspire clients on LinkedIn’s and other social channels capabilities, analytics, and role in driving thought leadership and ABM.Represent MediaCom as a strategic partner, championing paid social within broader media plans.Lead responses to briefs with data-backed proposals that reflect business objectives and audience insights.Proactively communicate performance, opportunities, and recommendations to influence C-suite decision-making.Build and maintain long-term partnerships with B2B clients through collaboration and consistent delivery.Operating and Technical Requirements:Oversee planning, targeting, and optimisation across LinkedIn Ads Manager and other social platforms.Ensure operational excellence through streamlined workflows, QA processes, and accurate reporting.Maintain finance oversight, budget accuracy, and efficient campaign delivery.Leverage tools and data to uncover insights, audience behaviours, and conversion patterns.Continuously test and adopt emerging LinkedIn and B2B martech solutions to stay ahead of trends.Build strong relationships with vendors, ensuring access to platform betas and advanced targeting solutions.People Management:Lead and inspire a high-performing paid social team, fostering B2B marketing expertise.Coach junior talent on LinkedIn strategy, optimisation, and business impact storytelling.Prioritise workloads effectively and delegate tasks with clarity.Support team growth through training, certifications, and mentorship.Celebrate best practices, encourage knowledge-sharing, and lead by example.Conduct regular check-ins to ensure development goals are met and workloads are balanced.Skills and ExperienceAt WPP Media, we believe in the power of our culture and our people.
