Due to continued growth and expansion of their team, a leading financial advice firm with an office in Edinburgh are recruiting for a paraplanner or senior paraplanner. Ideally experienced with diploma minimum, but for the right individual they could also develop them internally. They offer very flexible hybrid working, exam support and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Attend client meetings as required alongside Financial Planners and Directors
  • Communicate with clients in the absence of the adviser
  • Provide technical support
  • Research and preparation of client advice in conjunction with Financial Planners and Directors
  • Prepare client reports / suitability letters
  • Support advisers with client and product research as required
  • Research due diligence on the market & negotiating with product suppliers for the best possible rates
  • Process new business applications
  • Prepare client packs and paperwork prior to meetings
  • Develop and maintain client contact and relationships
  • Liaise with product providers to collate pension and investment information, maintain client files
  • Ensure advice provided is compliant and meets regulatory requirements
  • Keep up to date with financial products and legislation

Qualifications

  • Paraplanner with relevant experience, or developing within an adviser’s office
  • Strong back-office systems and platforms experience
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Diploma minimum preferred; opportunities for internal development for the right candidate
