Overview

Part-Time Management & Tax Accountant (4 days per week). An exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to join a fast-paced, digital-first/ecommerce business on a part-time basis (4 days/week). This is a heavily tax-focused role, with core responsibilities across VAT, international tax compliance, year-end audit, and management accounts. You'll report into the Director of Finance and, working in a small team, your responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Tax, VAT & International Compliance (Heavy Focus)
  • Lead multi-jurisdictional VAT and sales tax compliance and submissions
  • Manage VAT/sales tax registrations in new international markets
  • Monitor changes in international tax regulations and adapt processes accordingly
  • Management Accounting & Reporting
  • Full ownership of monthly management accounts for two legal entities
  • Prepare accurate, timely financial reports and variance analysis
  • Develop financial reporting packs for senior stakeholders
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Audit & Year-End
  • Act as the main contact for external auditors during annual audits
  • Prepare audit files, schedules and statutory reporting

Essential Criteria

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) essential
  • International tax and VAT compliance essential
  • Audit preparation and statutory year-end accounting essential
  • Management accounts and reporting – essential
  • 35+ years post-qualification experience in a finance role
  • Experience in eCommerce or D2C environments preferred (but not essential)
