Payroll Specialist – Ashby de la Zouch (Hybrid – 3 days on site). Initially on-site full-time during training, typically around 3 months. Join our snack-loving team at KP Snacks.

About the role

You’ll take ownership of delivering an accurate, efficient and confidential payroll service that meets the needs of colleagues and line managers. This role is key to ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while providing a seamless service experience across the business. You’ll work closely with our Payroll Manager, HR teams and wider stakeholders to improve processes, respond to queries and support cross-functional projects. What will you be doing?

  • Lead monthly payroll processing and reconciliation with accuracy and ownership
  • Tackle complex calculations and statutory submissions with confidence
  • Collaborate with HR and business teams to improve processes and resolve queries
  • Make a real impact on payroll reporting, compliance and colleague experience
  • Learn and grow through system development and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements
  • Practical skills in Excel and payroll systems – helping the team work smarter
  • Relevant experience in payroll, HR or finance – transferable skills are welcome
  • Bonus points for CIPP membership or experience with system automation
  • A proactive, collaborative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
