ATP Media, founded in 2001, is the broadcast and media arm of the ATP Tour. With headquarters in Wimbledon and a state‑of‑the‑art remote production hub – ATP Media Studios – the company delivers world‑class content for broadcasters and bespoke digital experiences for media platforms and partners worldwide.

Role Purpose

Working within the HR and Finance teams, this role is responsible for the monthly staff payroll and pensions process for 110 employees and the management of the company benefits program to provide a best‑in‑class service to its stakeholders.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the monthly payroll process including planning, reporting & execution.
  • Advise on and calculate statutory entitlement payments and ad‑hoc entries (sick pay, maternity/paternity leave, bonuses).
  • Generate payroll reports, payslips and manage the Sage payroll system.
  • Submit necessary documents and returns to HMRC including P32, annual P11d’s and PSA, ensuring timely payment of any tax due.
  • Submit pension file to provider ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Post payroll journal entries to accounting systems, liaise with Management accountants to reconcile the accounts with HMRC portal and record accurate payroll accounting entries on a monthly basis.
  • Handle employee payroll queries and manual calculations.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure efficient and comprehensive payroll system.
  • Provide expertise and understanding in all things payroll, pensions and compliance related in line with current legislation and anticipated future change.
  • Ensure systems and processes have scalability for future growth or expansion.
  • Deal with any HMRC enquiries.

Benefits Management

  • Pension Administration, including compliance with Auto‑enrolment regulations.
  • Employee pension communications and query handling.
  • Oversee company Medical, Life Assurance and Income Protection scheme including monthly member updates, annual renewals and invoice management and employee communications and guidance.
  • Manage wellbeing benefit programs, retirement planning and other work‑related schemes and initiatives.
  • Ensure data protection and legal / regulatory compliance.
  • Educate employees on benefit options and enrolment procedures.
  • Process enrolments, changes, and terminations accurately and timely.
  • Conduct benefits inductions for new staff.
  • Resolve employee inquiries and issues related to benefits.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and partners to manage claims and billing.
  • Audit benefits data and prepare reports on usage and cost trends.
  • Undertake regular reviews and market analysis and recommend improvements to benefits offerings.

General Administration & Policy Management

  • Ad hoc project work.
  • Staff annual salary review communications and letter administration.
  • Policy & process reviews.
  • Management and administration of payroll linked absences such as parental leave.
  • Bamboo HR System document management.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) membership and relevant qualification.
  • Significant experience in UK payroll processing.
  • Experience in benefit programs specifically pensions & insurances.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits legislation.
  • Proficiency in payroll and HR systems.
  • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiently handles confidentiality and sensitive data.
  • Solutions orientated.

Working Hours: Flexible 2–3 days per week – Hybrid Working

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 pro rata (up to £27,000 for 3 days / wk)
