About the Role
Diaverum UK is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and ensure the timely and accurate payment of salaries for approximately 800 UK based employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly payroll processing, including starters, leavers, pay changes and statutory payments.
- Administer payroll deductions, pensions (Auto‑Enrolment & NHS), and ensure compliance with NMW and WTR.
- Conduct audits and reconciliations of payroll data and systems.
- Produce payroll reports for Finance, including GL, accruals, and pension contributions.
- Handle debt recovery processes and liaise with external partners.
- Lead year‑end reporting including P11Ds, Form 42, and Gender Pay Gap submissions.
- Supervise daily workflows and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Maintain payroll documentation and training guides.
- Provide cover for Payroll Officer and Head of Payroll when required.
What We’re Looking For
Successful candidates must have their CIPP qualification (Diploma in Payroll Management) and previous experience working with i‑trent/SAP is desirable. Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills due to manual calculations needed in the role.
- Proven experience in payroll management, ideally in a healthcare or multi‑site environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and pension schemes.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and manual payroll calculations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
