Diaverum UK is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for approximately 800 UK employees. This role is full‑time, permanent and hybrid (2 days work‑from‑home, 3 days office). Salary is circa 44k–48k.

About the Role
As Payroll Manager you will oversee end‑to‑end payroll, ensuring statutory and contractual obligations are met, maintaining compliance, managing audits and supporting internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly payroll processing, including starters, leavers, pay changes and statutory payments.
- Administer payroll deductions, pensions (Auto‑Enrolment & NHS) and ensure compliance with NMW and WTR.
- Conduct audits and reconciliations of payroll data and systems.
- Produce payroll reports for Finance, including GL, accruals and pension contributions.
- Handle debt recovery processes and liaise with external partners.
- Lead year‑end reporting including P11Ds, Form 42 and Gender Pay Gap submissions.
- Supervise daily workflows and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Maintain payroll documentation and training guides.
- Provide cover for Payroll Officer and Head of Payroll when required.

- Proven experience in payroll management, ideally in a healthcare or large multi‑site environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and pension schemes.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and manual payroll calculations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
