We have an exciting opportunity at Cornerstone for a Payroll Officer on a part-time (23.5 hours per week), permanent basis. Join us during this exciting time as we implement our new HR & Payroll system.
This role can be based in Dundee, Glasgow, or Aberdeen, or as part of our hybrid working model. If hybrid, you should live within a reasonable commute of these locations. Occasional travel to other Cornerstone branches for meetings and training will be required, with expenses reimbursed according to our policy and HMRC legislation.
The Role
Reporting to the Depute Payroll Lead, you'll work alongside Payroll Officers in managing daily payroll activities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payments to approximately 1,800 colleagues. As a main contact for queries, you will use your payroll expertise to provide exceptional support.
You will assist in running the monthly payroll, ensuring payments are made on time, deductions are compliant, and submissions to statutory bodies are timely. For a full list of duties, please see the attached Role Profile.
About You
- At least 2 years' experience in delivering comprehensive and compliant payroll and pension services (including auto-enrolment and RTI)
- Degree or CIPP/IPPM qualification, or extensive relevant experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage data, create reports, and present information clearly
