Are you a payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and service excellence? This Payroll Officer role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering efficient, compliant, and reliable payroll services that truly support the organisation.
The role:
- Process Payroll: Accurately manage weekly/monthly payroll, expenses, pensions, and statutory returns in line with legislation.
- Provide Expertise: Act as a payroll and pensions specialist, advising managers and staff on all related matters.
- Maintain Records: Keep payroll systems and employee data up to date, including reconciliations and costing reports.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements, including audits, year-end reporting, and governance.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Work with HR and other departments to resolve queries and manage payroll-related issues.
- Drive Improvement: Support service improvement, efficiency, and personal development goals.
- Uphold Standards: Maintain confidentiality, follow policies and procedures, and meet high personal performance standards.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- A minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths and English (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate numeracy and literacy.
- Be able to demonstrate experience in a payroll function, to include:
- Computerised payroll and pension administration and
- Dealing effectively and efficiently with enquiries relating to payroll.
