Payroll Team Leader

Due to continued growth, our client has an opening for an experienced Payroll expert to join our Payroll department as a Payroll Lead at our Altrincham office. Hybrid working options are available subject to training and probation.
The Role
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Payroll department and managing your own Payroll cluster
- Completing daily payrolls (PAYE, Umbrella & CIS)
- Ensuring department SLAs are met
- Accountable for validations, reconciliations, and payroll audits
- Managing the workplace pension scheme and salary sacrifice arrangements
- Strong work ethic
- Team management skills
- A passion for working within a fast-paced changing environment
- Ability to follow procedures
- Excellent communication skills with clients, contractors, and colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Minimum grade C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
- Extensive payroll experience
- Previous management experience
- Experience with high volume transaction processing
- Strong Excel and Outlook skills
