This role supports the business improvement strategy to reduce the development hardware timescales, which is essential for our clients' development lifecycle.
This is a contract role initially lasting 6 months, with 3 days a week onsite in Stevenage, paying up to £80ph Inside IR35.
Responsibilities:
- Define sourcing strategy within the PCB-A Governance Team for prototype hardware, production build, and future capabilities.
- Manage PCB-A activities, ensuring timely planning and delivery, supporting integration activities.
- Engage with customers, suppliers, design, procurement, and manufacturing teams to capture requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers, developing strategies and agreements.
- Ensure rapid delivery of hardware during development, collaborating with Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering, Equipment, and Procurement teams.
- Coordinate the introduction of new products to series production.
- Create accurate estimates to support activities.
- Report activities accurately for internal and customer needs.
Skillset/Experience Required:
- Proven track record as a Manager/Lead in strategy definition.
- Experience delivering complex products in a high-profile manufacturing environment.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to prioritize strategic and tactical decisions.
- Strong communicator with experience leading multi-functional teams under tight deadlines.
- Experience in engineering or production environments preferred.
- PCB-A technical background is a plus but not essential; strong management skills are required.
- Ability to promote company values and enhance delivery reputation.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers.
