Pension Administration Officer

A vacancy has arisen within Pension Services for an Administration Officer to provide admin and data support to the pensions team and members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). This vacancy is temporary for a period of one year.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

As a Pensions Administration Officer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining member records using the services’ UPM system therefore experience of maintaining electronic and manual filing systems is essential.

You will respond to requests for advice and information from staff, service users and stakeholders of all levels in regard to the regulations governing the LGPS through the team’s email on online portal. You will also assist in the preparation of benefit calculations and provide general admin support to the team.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You should have 4 GCSEs (Grades 4 or above including English Language or Literature), or GNVQ Intermediate in Business or NVQ 2 Business (or equivalent) and have general administration experience.

HYBRID WORKING


Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
