Pensions Risk Transfer Consultant - UK Wide (Hybrid)

Mercer is looking for talented and ambitious pensions consultants who are keen to further their career, focused on consulting with clients. This is an opportunity to join our expanding Risk Transfer team, providing clients with advice on the journey to buy-in, broking the market, and winding up schemes. We seek individuals with excellent communication and project management skills, adaptability, business acumen, and a desire to be client-facing, supported by relevant consulting experience.

We will count on you to:

• Assist in bulk annuity broking and winding up pension schemes, crucial for the run-off of DB schemes, ensuring service excellence.
• Work as part of the Risk Transfer team on various client stages, including buy-in, post-transaction buyout, and wind-up phases.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, leading project delivery and client relationships.
• Develop project plans, contribute to budget setting, and coordinate teams and stakeholders.

What you need to have:

• Background in risk transfer, bulk annuity broking, and pension scheme wind-ups (preferable).
• Understanding of the buyout journey for pension schemes.
• Excellent communication and consulting skills with client exposure.
• Strong project management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.

• Experience working with trustees and/or corporates on DB pensions within a consultancy, with knowledge of bulk annuity broking and scheme wind-ups.
