The Scottish Qualifications Authority is Scotland’s national awarding and accreditation body. We oversee thousands of qualifications available in schools, colleges, workplaces, both in Scotland and internationally.

We are seeking a People Advisor to join our People Directorate within the HR Team. This role supports our culture and values, promotes staff engagement and wellbeing, and fosters commitment to SQA's success.

The successful candidate will provide generalist HR support to help achieve operational objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing administrative and diary management support to the Head of Service or Senior Management
  2. Supporting managers and employees on routine case management and employee relations issues, in accordance with policies, legislation, and best practices
  3. Participating in and supporting HR-related projects
  4. Maintaining high standards of confidentiality and effective communication skills
  5. Using MS Office and relevant HR systems proficiently
  6. Offering administrative and advisory support in an HR environment
  7. Working independently, often under stress, while meeting deadlines
  8. Demonstrating good organizational skills and a methodical approach

Applicants should have at least SCQF Level 8 education, preferably with a professional HR qualification or equivalent HR experience.
