Overview

People Business Partner at Oodle Car Finance. We are looking for a People Business Partner to join our People Team at Oodle. As a People Business Partner, you will lead a team and provide both operational and strategic support to line managers across the business. You'll play a key role in driving our People strategy, partnering closely with stakeholders, and delivering initiatives that span the full employee lifecycle. This role will report into the Head of People and will directly manage our HR Administrator, People Advisor, and Junior People Advisor, giving you the opportunity to coach and develop others while shaping how we deliver our People agenda. It's a fantastic role for someone who wants to be part of a collaborative team and gain exposure to a broad range of HR initiatives in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll be getting up to

  • Act as a trusted partner for your business area, providing expert advice, guidance, and coaching to managers.
  • Proactively identify people issues and trends within the business and collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions.
  • Lead HR projects and contribute to shaping the overall people strategy.
  • Translate the needs of your business area into a clear and actionable people plan.
  • Lead, coach, and develop your team to support the delivery of people initiatives.
  • Champion DEI initiatives to build a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Partner with Talent Management to embed talent practices and initiatives effectively.
  • Lead transformation and change initiatives, supporting leaders to navigate transitions.
  • Keep up to date with legal requirements and ensure compliance across all HR activities.

Experience & skills

  • Previous experience in a People Business Partner role.
  • Previous experience within Financial Services (not essential).
  • Previous experience in supporting change and leading HR projects.
  • Strong experience in managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
