Overview
We’re looking to appoint an experienced People Business Partner to provide strategic support to help deliver MHM's ambitious 3 year strategy. Reporting to the Director of People and OD, the role supports operational teams to implement our People Strategy, ensuring colleagues are valued and empowered to deliver life changing solutions to the people who access our services. You will be a trusted strategic advisor for stakeholders, providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to managers, proactively identifying people issues and trends, and formulating and implementing solutions. The role will oversee the end-to-end delivery of work on multiple activities and projects, acting as a mentor and role model to People Advisors and coordinating with People Operations and Learning teams to maintain a customer-centric approach and drive innovation and automation.
Base location will be agreed with the successful candidate. While Head Office is based in Sunderland, candidates from across the country who can provide in-person and remote support to teams throughout England (especially in the South region) are welcome. We support services that operate evenings, weekends and 24/7 365; therefore there will be flexibility to support services outside of office hours.
This is a role for an experienced and passionate individual who enjoys growth and helping others develop.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic support to help deliver MHM’s 3 year strategy and support the operation teams in implementing the People Strategy.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to managers, offering expert guidance, coaching and solutions to people issues and trends.
- Lead line management, development and coaching of People Advisors; mentor and role model for the team.
- Coordinate with the Business Partners, People Operations and Learning teams to oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple activities and projects.
- Identify barriers to performance and customer-centric solutions, driving innovation and automation where appropriate.
- Demonstrate ability to work in complex change settings, with experience of organisational change and TUPE in a national organisation.
- Possess flexibility to provide in-person and remote support to teams across England, with a focus on the South region.
- Support services that operate outside standard hours as required.
Qualifications and experience
- Experience in a similar People Business Partner or equivalent role.
- Experience within NHS or Health and Social Care sector preferred.
- Ability to think critically and apply logical problem-solving approaches.
- Proven track record of workforce planning, leadership engagement and delivering value through people solutions.
Training and development
You will go through our comprehensive, in-person training program in your first week of employment and beyond to succeed in the role, along with access to ongoing development via our Accredited Learning Team.
