Job Purpose
As we continue to expand our market share in the rapidly emerging Employee Experience platform category, we are looking for a People Partner on 12-14 month maternity contract.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this is a broad and exciting role, responsible for all aspects of our operational and strategic HR initiatives.
You will partner closely with our business leaders to support them as they manage and develop our employees, working in alignment with your colleagues in recruitment, talent development and employee communications to provide excellent employee experience and support our People strategy. You will be able to balance these activities with all relevant administrative aspects of HR, including oversight of benefits administration, assisting finance with payroll activities, employment documentation, policies and procedures and some HR-related compliance activities.
In addition, you will be responsible for managing a People Operations Associate, who is responsible for HR administration and office management activities under your direction.
Our ideal candidate will have strong generalist HR experience, and ideally business partnering experience. The ideal person will be a confident and clear communicator, with experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, with the ability to balance operational and strategic work in order to support the business.
At Unily we follow a hybrid model of work with an expectation to be in the office a minimum of 2-3 days per week dependent on the needs of the role, the team and the wider business.We have offices in London and Eashing, Surrey.
Main Responsibilities
- Main point of contact for leaders and managers in a number of our core functions for all HR matters both responsive and proactive
- Ability to manage process and coach leaders on all Employee Relations matters, including redundancies, grievances, disciplinaries and performance improvement plans.
- Partner with business leaders and Finance to support workforce planning, including organisational design and team structuring to align with business goals and evolving priorities
- Support organisational change initiatives by ensuring smooth transitions through clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and employee engagement
- High degree of fluency with standard HR methodologies relating to performance, talent management and development
- Overall responsibility for all employee documentation to include Employee Handbook, policies, employment contracts and other relevant documents
- Ensure HR compliance with employment laws and best practices, supporting audits and managing risk through proactive policy management and documentation
- Overall responsibility for rewards and benefits administration, to include liaising with brokers and insurers as required
- Manage a People Operations Associate, providing advice and guidance as required, ensuring that our UK offices provide a great work environment
- Play an important role in the People leadership team, helping to create, develop and implement Unily’s People strategy
- Work alongside other People team colleagues to influence culture and engagement across the business
- Ability to leverage HR data and system insights to inform decision-making, guide leaders, and shape people strategies Drive continuous improvement of HR processed and systems, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and seamless employee experience
- Support DE&I initiatives by embedding inclusive practices accross the employee lifecycle and championing a diverse and equitable workplace culture
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Proven work experience as an HR generalist
- Ideally 2-3 years’ experience as an HR business partner
- Analytical and goal oriented
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law
- Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
- CIPD level 5 qualified or degree or relevant experience
