Role Summary
Reporting to the HR Leader the People Services Advisor plays a key role in delivering a seamless and supportive experience for TalkTalk colleagues and their People Leaders. This role combines strong administrative capabilities with a proactive, advisory approach to ensure colleagues receive timely, accurate, and helpful guidance across all aspects of their journey with Talktalk. You will act as a first point of contact for all HR related queries, while also contributing to continuous improvement across the People Team functions including People & Policy, HR Business Partners, Reward, People Development, and Talent Acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line advisory support to colleagues and People Leaders, ensuring queries are resolved efficiently and in line with SLAs.
Maintain accurate colleague records and ensure HR systems are consistently updated.
Support the onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of contracts, induction materials, and exit documentation.
Assist with payroll and benefits administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, interviews, and training sessions.
Contribute to HR projects and reporting, offering insights and recommendations where appropriate.
Manage and enhance content on the People Helpdesk platform, identifying opportunities to improve self-service resources and streamline processes.
Collaborate with other People Team functions to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Key Skills and Experience
Experience in an HR support or administrative role is preferred, with a desire to grow into a more advisory capacity.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the business.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a flexible approach to work.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
