NL&SC SPCMHT are looking for a confident and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about working in a perinatal service and who has experience in both Lead Professional (Care-co-ordination) and therapeutic roles for this varied and interesting hybrid role.
Main duties of the job
You will carry out specialist assessments of women referred into the perinatal service and also be responsible for an allocated caseload where you will offer therapeutic and/or generic support, depending on a family's needs. You will be supported by senior clinicians within the team and will also access peer support from colleagues who are delivering this hybrid systemic role in our other SPCMHTs.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Education
- RMN or Social work or Occupational Health professional qualification and registration with appropriate professional body.
- Evidence of up to date training related to contemporary mental health nursing, social work or occupational therapy practice.
- An AFT (Association Family Therapy & Systemic Practice) accredited training - Level 2 Intermediate Systemic Training or an accredited CYP-IAPT Training in Systemic Family Practice. Membership of AFT
Knowledge
- Substantial practice in relevant core profession.
- Previous experience of working as a systemic practitioner and embedding systemic skills in a clinical setting under supervision from Family and Systemic Psychotherapist.
- High-level knowledge of the theory and practice of family and systemic psychotherapy.
Experience
- Previous post graduate experience in a community mental health setting.
- Able to demonstrate and evidence a broad range of therapeutic clinical skills for the post
- Experiencing of delivering generic and discipline specific mental health assessments (including of risks) and treatments
