Do you have proven experience as a Personal Assistant supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment?
If you’re a highly organised PA with outstanding communication and diary management skills, this could be your next exciting opportunity.
As a Director's PA within Benchmarx/Travis Perkins, you’ll provide full secretarial and administrative support to our Managing Director and Sales & Operations Director. You’ll act as their key point of contact—managing schedules, organising meetings, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the team.
This is a varied and people-focused role that requires discretion, strong initiative, and exceptional attention to detail.
Please note this role is office-based in Duston Northampton, with an option to work from home 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diary management, ensuring they are maintained and kept up-to-date at all times.
- Organising all travel and hotel accommodation as required.
- Booking meeting rooms and lunches.
- Setting agendas and preparing slide decks for all Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, and Sales Management meetings.
- Ad hoc travel to attend BM and ABM meetings to take action notes and engage with teams as required.
- Minute HR meetings as they arise, including grievances, disciplinary hearings, appeals, and redundancy consultations.
- First point of contact for all Branch Managers and Directors on the HR system. Assist and resolve queries, and action transfers, new starters, contract changes, and leavers on behalf of the Directors.
- Ordering items including stationery, PPE, safety shoes, and IT equipment as needed.
- Logging lieu days and holidays for the Directors’ direct reports.
- Email management for the Directors.
- Processing invoices for payment.
- Building relationships with all members of the Benchmarx/TP team, including other Directors, PAs, and Branch colleagues.
- Arranging meetings with external suppliers for the Directors as required.
- Providing ad hoc administrative support to the Directors and other team members as needed.
You’ll also have:
- Previous experience in a PA role.
- Experience managing busy and challenging diaries at director level.
- Ability to prioritise workloads based on business demands and Director requirements.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- A positive, self-motivated, 'can-do' attitude.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Google tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach focused on getting things done.
