Personal Tax Senior - Central London. A growing mid-tier accountancy practice in Central London is looking for an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join their private client team. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and internationally mobile professionals. The position offers a competitive salary in the range of £53,000 to £63,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance and advisory services.
  • Request and review tax return information from clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns using CCH or similar software.
  • Liaise directly with HMRC on client matters and handle related enquiries.
  • Monitor WIP and raise bills promptly in line with firm policies.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen client relationships.
  • Assist with consultancy projects, including technical research and report preparation.
  • Attend client meetings and support partners with ad-hoc advisory work.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • ATT qualified (CTA desirable).
  • Strong understanding of the full personal tax cycle and relevant UK legislation.
  • Practical experience in capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts, and residence/domicile issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised, with proven time management and client-handling skills.
  • IT literate, ideally with experience using CCH Personal Tax.
