NCMAG Council considers the clinical- and cost-effectiveness of proposals and shares advice with NHSScotlands territorial health boards. The programme works alongside Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) and existing local systems for access to cancer medicines. The post-holder's role includes liasing with the cancer care clinical community on proposal assessment and horizon scanning, supporting the evidence review process and council member decision making.
