Overview

Placement Student - Sales Application Engineer at Cummins Europe. This role is based in Peterborough and begins Summer 2026 for candidates eligible for a placement year.

Responsibilities

• Support the department on key tasks and projects, working independently and within teams.
• Support delivery of technical seminars in the factory and onsite.
• Work in a team environment and learn how to make decisions in a collaborative way.
• Provide technical support to Dealers & Distributors.
• Interact with different functions and Cummins factories worldwide.
• Sourcing, interpreting, and developing technical data and working toward agreed deadlines.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering degree (wide range of students considered).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Good Microsoft Office skills are required; CAD skills are beneficial but not essential.
• Flexible and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and take on responsibilities.
