Overview

Change/Forensic Planner required to work for Principal Contractor on major High Speed Rail Programme. Contract - Inside IR35. London Euston - Hybrid working arrangements in place. 6 months, ongoing contract basis.

Role

Specialist Planner required with extensive NEC Contracts Experience. Detailed Change Planning Experience. Forensic Analysis/Planning Experience. Experience on similar major projects.

Role Brief

Change planner with experience of contract and change analysis, providing compliant impact assessments, in accordance with the contract terms and conditions. Liaising with the relevant Delivery Unit teams to assess change and develop the required alterations to Accepted Programmes (NEC Clause 62) and supportive narratives to demonstrate both changes to the Prices and delay to contract dates. The role will be to provide the requisite analysis of delay and disruption events across all areas of the Project, in conjunction with the area site teams to substantiate additional time and the effect of compensation events.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • In depth practical experience of Primavera P6 software and other planning software
  • Experience in change management, claims preparation and forensic planning
  • Experience in the various forms of delay and schedule analysis and report writing
  • Strong IT skills using Primavera, MS Project, Asta and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Flexibility and demonstrable creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required and ability to work as a member of a team
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential
  • In depth knowledge of the NEC and ICE forms of contract (in particular assessment of delay)
  • Knowledge of dispute resolution methods, in particular adjudication
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Experience of working on complex infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain good relationships throughout
