The Role
As a Planner, you’ll work closely with Senior Planners, Project Managers, and Engineering teams to develop, maintain, and optimise project schedules across multiple phases. Responsibilities
- Build, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Track progress against milestones, identifying and mitigating risks or delays.
- Integrate supplier and subcontractor schedules into master programmes.
- Produce clear, accurate reports, dashboards, and schedule analysis for internal and client stakeholders.
- Contribute to risk workshops, programme reviews, and planning sessions.
- Support the standardisation of planning processes across projects.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in construction or infrastructure planning.
- Strong technical ability with Primavera P6 and solid Excel skills.
- Understanding of project lifecycles from mobilisation to completion.
- Knowledge of NEC or FIDIC contract frameworks.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with confidence engaging across project teams.
Desirable Extras
- Experience in the energy/utilities sector (substations, grid connections, major civils).
- Familiarity with earned value management, critical path, and delay analysis.
- Previous involvement in client-side reporting and programme governance.
Why Join Us
- Competitive salary & package – aligned to your experience and expertise.
- Hybrid & flexible working – mix of home, office, and site-based planning.
- Opportunity to work on flagship UK infrastructure projects with real national impact.
- Be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team where your input drives success.
- Ongoing career development and training opportunities with clear progression pathways.
