Overview: Southern Water is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Water Asset Management team as a Technical Programme Planner. This newly created role is ideal for individuals with a passion for strategic planning, data analysis, and infrastructure development. You’ll contribute to shaping our 25-year water investment programme and support regulatory commitments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Analyse data to prioritise work and guide investment decisions
- Monitor project progress and support suppliers with technical studies
- Ensure teams have access to the systems and resources they need
- Help build and refine our long-term business plans
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support engineers in developing effective, sustainable solutions
You’ll Also Contribute To Strategic Planning By
- Promoting excellence in Health & Safety across planning activities
- Prioritising risk-based investments to meet programme targets
- Aligning investment options with business goals and outcomes
- Supporting workshops and decision-making processes
- Helping implement plans aligned with regulatory frameworks (e.g. WRMP, DWMP)
- Communicating investment programmes clearly to stakeholders
- Supporting cost-benefit analysis and whole-life costing
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience in heavily regulated environments, such as utilities
- Experience with data analysis
- Curiosity about infrastructure planning and asset management
- Problem-solving skills and collaborative approach
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- A desire to make a long-term impact on water services and sustainability
Package
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
- Hybrid working between sites and home
- Salary starting from £32,700 per annum plus benefits including:
