Panoramic Associates is working with a local authority in the Northern Home Counties to recruit an experienced Locum Planning Solicitor to join their legal team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to take on varied and engaging work within a supportive environment, while benefiting from flexible hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Advise and attend planning committee meetings twice monthly
• Draft and negotiate Section 106 and Section 20 agreements
• Provide legal advice on planning notices, inquiries, and enforcement matters
• Deliver up-to-date advice and guidance on planning law to the planning department

About You

• A valid practising certificate
• Strong experience in planning law, ideally within local government
• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements
• Ability to provide clear and pragmatic advice on a range of planning issues
• Willingness to attend in-person planning committees (twice monthly)
• Hours: 37.5 per week (7.5 hours per day, Mon-Fri) with an early finish on Fridays
• Rate: Competitive
• Location: Northern Home Counties, rural area. Hybrid working with limited office presence required
