Job Description
Planning Support Coordinator - Bristol, UK
About the Role
Full-Time, Permanent - 3 days a week in Aztec West, Bristol. Other days working from home or other office locations.
Are you ready to play a key role in one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects? As we move into the next exciting phase of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) journey, we’re looking for a proactive and organised Planning Support Coordinator to help steer the Post CS2 programme towards successful delivery.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders, and want to make a real impact—this could be the opportunity for you.
The Opportunity
At Hinkley Point C (HPC), we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new series of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. As we transition beyond the CS2 Configuration Baseline and into the commissioning phase, the Planning Support Coordinator will support the Post CS2 Programme Manager. You’ll help ensure the programme is delivered with precision, agility, and professionalism. This role offers the chance to take ownership of key activities, support cross-functional teams, and lead on sub-projects as you grow.
Pay, benefits and culture
In addition to a salary of £54,280 depending on experience, we offer flexible benefits that support our employees’ physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. Examples include: a market-leading pension scheme, bonus plan, health cover, electric vehicle leasing, mental health support, and employee discounts.
We embrace flexibility and recognize everyone's working needs. Whether in the office, on site, or remote, we promote collaboration, connection, and comfort. Our priority is to ensure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated. We foster an inclusive environment where diverse backgrounds and experiences drive innovation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and supporting the Post CS2 programme to stay on course.
- Developing communication strategies, preparing reports, and maintaining alignment across workstreams and stakeholders.
- Managing and analysing project schedules, identifying risks, and ensuring milestones are met.
- Spotting issues early and keeping projects moving forward.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a major infrastructure project, where your organisational skills and collaborative mindset will make a real difference.
Who You Are
- You thrive in a structured yet fast-moving environment.
- You possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and can manage multiple priorities confidently.
- You are comfortable working independently and enjoy building relationships across departments.
- You have excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and are proficient with Microsoft Office, Power BI, and databases.
- Experience in project or programme support in complex or regulated environments is a strong advantage.
- You are motivated, adaptable, calm under pressure, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
