Overview
Role: Planning, Training and Apprenticeship Support Officer at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
Location: Hybrid; based at any existing OTC office (Edinburgh, Bristol, Cambridge, Birmingham, Golborne, Leeds, Eastbourne, Caernarfon, Pontypridd) with attendance at other Government offices when required.
Salary: £29,525; Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%
Contract Type: Permanent – Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time
Responsibilities
- Embedding a culture of continuous professional development to ensure that colleagues have the right knowledge, skills, and behaviours to provide excellence in service.
- Ensuring change is managed effectively, plans are communicated and updated on a regular basis and that impact analysis is completed for all activities and updated on a regular basis.
- Working with managers and the People Directorate Recruitment Policy team to create a robust and future facing attraction strategy for employment across the OTC.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
- Experience of interpreting legislation, case law and the provision of advice based on that interpretation.
- The ability to draft and deliver training packages across multiple platforms.
- Ability to plan future training needs by analysing data, statistics, and evidence-based reports to support recommendations and decision making.
