A bit about the job:

As a Platform Architect, you’ll design scalable, secure technology solutions that support our business goals. You’ll investigate and resolve complex software issues, often caused by architectural challenges. You’ll also support internal users and act as the technical owner for major software components. This role sits within a forward-thinking engineering team that’s driving innovation across Aviva.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

• Strong communication skills – able to explain technical designs to senior leaders and developers
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, API design, and 12-factor principles
• Financial awareness to support business cases and design decisions
• Hands-on development experience and deep technical knowledge
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple workstreams independently

• Starting salary between Norwich circa £70,000 / London - circa £100,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
• Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s
