Platform Deployment Manager

Overview

In this exciting opportunity you will be responsible for deployment of local software, updates, patches and activating the latest features for our restaurants from our global restaurant and digital platforms. You will also be accountable for the technology testing strategy and quality assurance process ensuring that testing and deployment is repeatable and ongoing continuous improvement and automation is in place.

Responsibilities

  • Create and establish a routine for delivering accurate and timely updates on team progress and key metrics consistently to inform senior leadership, enabling data-driven decisions and building trust within the leadership structure.
  • Ensure the team has well-defined goals aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives. Regularly track and review performance metrics to ensure accountability and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Deploy new global platform releases into restaurants, working with the LIOM Segment and Global product/platform owners to understand release timelines and ensure deployments are planned and sequenced to minimise restaurant disruption.
  • Liaise with Segment and Global product teams responsible for quality improvements across all global products.
  • Coordinate with Change Planning to communicate release go-live timelines and feature activation schedules to the business.
  • Foster engaged collaboration between Service Delivery Leadership and incident remediation teams, including production incident pulse checks and deployment planning.
  • Ensure deployment readiness by guiding direct reports (market product owners) to complete necessary checks ahead of deployment activities.
  • Work with Pricing and Promotions Leadership to test end-to-end promotional activity and support deployment across all channels in the estate.
  • Lead the team in line with company values, develop talent and career progression, and implement succession planning to avoid key-person dependencies.
  • Communicate with restaurants about deployment status and timing and engage with the Technology Adoption team.
  • Confidently create and deliver presentations to Regional, National, Senior Leadership, and Tech Committee groups.
  • Accountable for deployment budget and reporting of spend against plans.

Team and stakeholders

You will work as part of the Deployment & Testing team within the wider Technology team for the UK&I and Global business. Stakeholders include franchisees, Global Technology colleagues in other markets, Global and Segment product functions, and supplier partners. You will work closely with Change Planning for activation timing and with the Innovation and Adoption team on new Tech Hive initiatives for deployment sequencing.

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience deploying product releases into a diverse estate.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and other defect tracking tools and methodologies.
  • Significant experience leading and developing diverse teams.
  • Well-versed in communicating and influencing at senior levels.
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience of previous software release management.
  • Strong people-first approach to resource planning and task assignment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for reports and presentations.
  • Strong presence and ability to influence at all levels of the business.
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Jira & Confluence.
