Overview

Platforms Executive (GIG Retail, a Smollan company) — Full time, permanent. Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum + Company Bonus + 27 days holiday (+ birthday off). Working: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (with some flexibility available). Location: Leeds (Hybrid) — 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home. We are looking for a Platforms Executive to join our Retail Media & Product Propositions team. This role is suitable for someone curious about technology, enjoys solving problems, and wants to kick-start their career in business systems and platforms. You','skills','"What you\'ll be doing"

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of our systems and platforms.
  • Helping colleagues get the best out of our tools — answering questions, fixing small issues, and showing people how things work.
  • Making simple system changes (like updating fields, layouts, or workflows).
  • Assisting on new projects: testing, writing guides, reporting progress, and training users.
  • Spotting opportunities to improve processes and integrations.
  • Acting as first-line support by responding to help desk tickets.

Qualifications

  • A recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or similar (or equivalent experience/interest).
  • A logical, detail-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Someone organised, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Comfortable using MS Office (Excel in particular).
  • Bonus points for: knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with project management tools like Monday.com, Trello, or Asana.
  • Exposure to working with large data sets.
