Overview

We are seeking an experienced Polaris Developer to support a major insurance project. This role is focused on insurance application development, working closely with underwriters to design, configure, and enhance insurance products in line with Polaris standards. You will play a key part in the full development lifecycle—covering design, coding, configuration, and testing—to ensure insurance products are delivered accurately and efficiently for both internal stakeholders and external distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriters and business analysts to understand product requirements.
• Design, configure, and code Polaris-based insurance applications (ProductWriter).
• Perform unit, system, and integration testing to ensure product accuracy and stability.
• Support deployment and provide post-release fixes as required.
• Ensure all products are compliant with industry and Polaris standards.
• Work closely with IT teams, underwriters, and business stakeholders in a hybrid environment.

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years’ experience as a Polaris / ProductWriter Developer in the UK insurance market.
• Strong understanding of insurance products, rating logic, and underwriting processes.
• Hands-on experience in design, coding, and testing within Polaris environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with underwriters.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with full software development lifecycle within insurance applications.
