A Little More About Your Role
WSP is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Electrical Engineer to join the Maritime team based in the UK.
As part of the team, you will complement the wide experience of highly knowledgeable and dynamic Maritime experts based in the UK and across the globe.
As a team member, you will be contributing to the technical delivery of a wide range of UK‑based and international projects for a variety of clients, ranging from local authorities to private clients and international terminal operators. You will draft electrical specifications and review contractor design submissions, assessing them against Employers Requirements, specifications, national and international standards, codes, practice and good working practices.
You will work with equipment vendors on developing designs of equipment packages and participating in technical evaluations of vendor designs, and with owners, operators and investors to assess the condition of electrical assets and their designs for capability, risk, opportunity and need for intervention.
You will also have an opportunity to work closely with clients and develop project management skills.
Your role will be hybrid based; you may visit sites around the UK for project support and, for overseas projects, may travel for short periods.
