Permanent freelance position with Language Empire Limited. Job Title: Face to Face Portuguese (Angola) Interpreter – Retford and Surrounding Areas. Job Type: Freelance / Self-Employed. Industry: Interpreting & Translation Services.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting conversations for individuals accessing public services (e.g. legal, health, and local authority services)
• Ensuring clarity and understanding after each statement or question
• Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Acting as a liaison between service users and service providers

What We’re Looking For

• Fluency in English and at least one other language
• Hold a DPSI, Community Interpreting qualification, or other interpreting-related qualification
• A valid DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Legal right to work in the UK
