POWER SYSTEMS STUDIES ENGINEER - CONTRACT – SURREY

The client is seeking a Power Systems Studies Engineer to support various onshore and offshore projects on an initial 12 month contract with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Support various onshore and offshore projects.
  • Conduct power system studies for local power and renewable power projects, including BESS or grid connections at voltages up to 220kV.
  • Perform studies such as equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit, dynamic motor starting, harmonic studies, arc flash, transient stability, and protection coordination.
  • Run power system studies and oversee third party vendors providing power system studies for projects, including EMT software.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Power Systems Studies Engineer, ideally with offshore and onshore project exposure.
  • Proficiency in ETAP software is essential.
  • Experience with EMT software is relevant to project work.

Duration & Location

Duration: 12 months initially.

Location: Based on 5 days a week in the client’s offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.

Rate & Additional Information

Rate: £60.00 – 65.00 per hour (Ltd co rate).

Note: If the role is likely to be outside IR35, the final decision will be made after a QDOS assessment.
