Preceptorship Midwife

New Yesterday

We are recruiting a Preceptorship Midwife who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our women, birthing people, and families receive high-quality and compassionate care in co-production with our service users. Join us to help the Trust continue its journey towards "great people, great place".

Each year, we support approximately 1000 families preparing for parenthood. By joining our trust, you will have a unique opportunity to provide care across all areas of the service.

Our labour ward has five delivery rooms, including one with a birthing pool, and a dedicated maternity theatre. Midwives work within an integrated model, following women and birthing people from the antenatal ward through to labour and postnatal wards.

You will need to be motivated and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. We value openness to positive change and transformation to meet the community's evolving needs.

As a newly qualified midwife, you will be supported by our Recruitment and Retention midwives, clinical leads, and practice development midwives. You will undertake a robust preceptorship programme that includes clinical and pastoral support, with dedicated time for additional training and development. After an extended supernumerary period, you'll develop skills and competencies across all areas of midwifery, preparing for transition to a band 6 midwife.

If you are interested in joining our team and share our vision of providing safe, high-quality seamless services delivered with courtesy and respect, we would like to hear from you.

We are passionate about providing excellent CARE, guided by our values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Everyone counts. Our mission is to keep our community at the heart of everything we do, embodying our values across all services.

We are committed to promoting inclusion, diversity, and multiculturalism. Our policies ensure fair treatment throughout the recruitment process.
