Overview
Precision Medicine Medical Affairs Global Strategic Lead (PM MA Global Strategic Lead) role focusing on CDx/Biomarkers across late development, launch, and post-launch phases. Responsible for embedding CDx strategies in the Core Medical Plan (CMP), leading evidence generation and dissemination, and aligning with global and local medical strategies.
What You Will Do
- Provide strategic direction for CDx/Biomarkers in precision medicine throughout late development, launch, and post-launch activities.
- Embed CDx strategies in the Core Medical Plan (CMP) and lead evidence generation and dissemination efforts.
- Oversee CDx/PM tactics, coordinate with the Commercial PM team to drive business growth, and collaborate with co-creation countries to advance diagnostic and medical objectives.
- Capture external insights to inform the global PM strategy and ensure alignment with Patient Centricity principles.
- Lead the Integrated Evidence Dissemination Plan with strong scientific messaging and centralized resources.
- Define KPIs and metrics to track progress and support the global launch plan.
- Ensure governance and review of MA study synopses and protocols, maintaining high standards for evidence generation.
Working Environment
- The position is permanent and full-time, based in the UK.
- Hybrid working model with a blend of home and minimum of 1 day per quarter in the Addlestone office. Flexibility may be required.
Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of the Medical Product Strategy (MPS) and ensure CDx strategies are embedded in the CMP; contribute to Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (iEGP).
- Medical Affairs Excellence: Lead a high-impact team delivering CDx/PM evidence generation and dissemination; manage budgets; enable affiliates; ensure governance of study synopses and protocols; execute the Integrated Evidence Dissemination Plan; support education on CDx/Biomarkers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Commercial, Market Access, Development, Patient Centricity, and Medical Affairs; partner with R&D on CDx/Biomarker development; relay insights to drive timely responses; align cross-geography.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with diagnostic partners, labs, experts, advocacy groups, medical organizations, regulatory bodies; represent externally at forums and partnerships; coach and develop teams for long-term success.
- Compliance And Ethics: Embed a strong compliance culture and model ethical behavior.
Required Experience
- Progressive leadership in Pharmaceutical Medicine with solid CDx/PM experience within MA, pharma/diagnostic companies, labs, or academia.
- Experience leading cross-functional, geographically diverse teams and influencing without direct authority.
- Proven track record in driving brand medical affairs strategy, launches, and lifecycle management.
- Experience developing patient-centered evidence generation and dissemination strategies; understanding of regulatory and market access pathways for CDx.
- Knowledge of global pharma regulations and guidelines (IFPMA, PhRMA, FDA, EMA, PMDA, ACCME, OIG) and ability to apply them to MA activities.
- Budget management with risk management for timelines and financial performance.
Skills And Leadership
- Ability to lead and inspire global matrix teams; strong strategic thinking, business acumen, communication, and influencing skills in fast-paced environments.
Education
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) or Doctorate in Pharmacy or Pharmacology from a recognized body; medically qualified with direct patient care experience; experience across cultures and regions.
