About WPP Open Pro:
Open Pro is WPP’s bold new self-serve, direct-to-client AI platform — built to transform how modern marketing works. Designed for marketers who want results without the wait, Open Pro is the world’s most complete AI-powered performance marketing machine. Built on top of WPP Open, it combines AI strategy, content, and activation in one seamless platform. Our mission is to deliver faster, smarter, more effective marketing — and to do it at scale.
Open Pro is a flagship initiative within WPP’s AI transformation strategy. We’re building a new kind of business unit — one that combines enterprise technology with radical simplicity, creative intelligence, and commercial impact.
Why we're hiring:
The Pre-Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in helping internal WPP teams and external prospects understand, believe in, and adopt the Open Pro platform. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality platform demos, supporting sales efforts, and — critically — acting as a trusted guide and enabler for WPP agencies.
You will be responsible for understanding and anticipating client needs, developing effective presentations and demos that show off the capabilities of the platform, and working with product and customer success to create demos. Acting as the Subject Matter Expert on the platform, you will build strong relationships with clients and agency partners that result in a sale.
This role is equal parts evangelist and enabler. You'll help agency partners understand how Open Pro can help them win — by making their teams look good, strengthening client relationships, and delivering real performance results. You’ll work closely with sales, customer success, and product teams to co-create narratives, shape presentations, and build confidence in Open Pro’s capabilities across the WPP network.
What you'll be doing:
- Sales Support:Deliver high-impact demos, collaborate with the Sales Lead to support new business, tailor materials based on sector and persona, and respond to detailed RFPs.
- Agency Coordination & Enablement:Act as the key enabler for WPP agency teams, helping them understand the Open Pro product, co-creating presentations, and running onboarding sessions to boost self-sufficiency.
- Sales Enablement & Content Development:Develop a catalogue of assets including pitch decks, demo videos, and FAQs, and maintain a knowledge base of product information and competitive positioning.
- Thought Leadership & Brand Awareness:Represent and evangelise Open Pro in internal webinars, industry events, and WPP network showcases.
- Continuous Feedback & Improvement:Gather and relay structured feedback from sales interactions to Product and Marketing teams and recommend process improvements to increase win rates.
What you'll need:
- Proven experience in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Consulting, or Enablement role within a SaaS or martech company.
- Prior experience working in a marketing or media agency environment — ideally within WPP.
- Confident, compelling, and likeable presenter, with excellent storytelling and communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence and gravitas, able to credibly engage senior client stakeholders and agency partners.
- Experience of campaign activation including content production, content automation, performance marketing, and media activation.
- Hands-on technical skills; able to configure a demo through the front end without needing technical support.
- Ability to tailor technical product demonstrations to different audiences and roles (e.g. CMOs, planners, creatives, media buyers).
- Strong grasp of how agencies pitch, win, and service clients, including the nuances of building trust and managing change.
- Collaborative, empathetic, and credible in cross-functional environments with product, sales, and client teams.
We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. That's why we’ve adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office around four days a week. If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.
