Role: Director - Pricing & Commercial Strategy (Consumer)
We are seeking a Pricing Director to lead pricing strategy with a primary focus on consumer businesses. This role aligns pricing initiatives with Paysafe’s financial objectives, market dynamics, competitive positioning, and customer value. You will develop and implement pricing policies, establish governance frameworks, and manage the strategic roadmap across the consumer team.

Working model
We follow a hybrid working model, with an average of three days per week in the office located on Gresham Street near St Paul’s Cathedral, with accessible transport links.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute pricing strategies for consumer products aligned with financial and strategic goals.
- Conduct market research to understand customer behavior, industry trends, competitor models, and regulatory changes affecting digital wallets and related solutions.
- Recommend innovative pricing models considering transaction types, FX, funding methods, withdrawals, risk factors, and customer segments.
- Optimize pricing propositions across the customer lifecycle (acquisition, funding, transactions, retention).
- Design strategies to maximize lifetime value while balancing accessibility, competitiveness, and profitability.
- Define KPIs, monitor performance, and analyze the impact of pricing decisions on profitability.
- Identify pricing-related risks and opportunities to grow active wallet users, drive volumes, and expand into new corridors.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and compliance standards relevant to consumer payments, crypto, and remittances.
- Segment consumer bases and tailor pricing strategies by channel, geography, and funding method.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, customer support, compliance, and technology teams to align pricing with user experience and roadmaps.
- Communicate pricing changes to internal stakeholders and, where applicable, to consumers.
- Lead and develop pricing analysts and professionals in the consumer pricing function.
- Work with finance, operations, banking, and schemes to understand cost drivers and integrate them into pricing.
- Manage the budget for consumer pricing activities and ensure efficient resource allocation.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years in a similar role, with at least 4+ years in consumer pricing, payments, or financial services; experience in wallets, remittances, FX, or crypto preferred.
- Proven experience as a people manager leading a pricing or commercial strategy team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong understanding of consumer payments economics (funding methods, FX spreads, remittance corridors, withdrawal costs, crypto trading spreads).
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Leadership experience in roles such as Pricing Manager or Director of Pricing.
- Deep analytical skills and experience building complex models to forecast pricing impact.
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative validation techniques (A/B testing, surveys, interviews).
- Adaptability to stay current with industry and regulatory trends in digital wallets, cross-border payments, and crypto.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of VBA, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, or Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to translate large data sets into actionable insights.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
