About EK Outreach Services: EK Outreach Services is a specialist provider of one-to-one teaching for students who are unable to access mainstream school environments due to medical, emotional, or learning difficulties. Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to deliver one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including those with SEND. Lessons may take place in students\' homes, libraries, or other agreed-upon locations. We anticipate a September 2025 start for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver individualised lessons that are aligned with the student\'s academic level and learning objectives.
- Teach a range of topics at EYFS/Primary or equivalent levels.
- Promote understanding, engagement and motivation in students.
- Remain patient and flexible in the approach to learning by adapting lesson content and teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
- Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
- Possess excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
- Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Primary subjects from the National Curriculum.
- Experience in KS1 and KS2 Primary Curriculum.
- Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of trauma informed education.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to the needs of the student and focus on building a positive learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in a one-to-one setting.
- Flexibility to work in various locations, including students’ homes or other designated learning environments.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
