In the job role as a Principle Architect you will be part of a team that enables the needed transformation and improves cross portfolio architecture alignment. The team is responsible for driving the holistic architecture for Vonage. A key part of this is setting the target architecture for our AI platforms, focusing on the use of partner tools (like those from AWS and others) to enable the rest of the company to work with AI agents in a good and efficient way, rather than building a bespoke platform. The team is also responsible for the needed governance and community that enables it. We work closely with architects across Vonage and Ericsson.

  • Lead cross Vonage architecture, ensuring it supports our mission to deliver innovative and compliant solutions and drive the technology evolution, particularly in the adoption of partner-based AI platforms.
  • Identify the need-, drive-, and participate in-, architecture evolution studies
  • Drive the evolution of the architecture together with the architecture community
  • When applicable, participate in architecture governance bodies across the Vonage organization and there contribute to a sound and aligned architecture.
  • Engage in Technology Strategy work
  • Extensive experience in a comparable strategic Architecture role where you have had company wide/product impact
  • AI Platform Architecture: Experience in setting target architectures for AI platforms, specifically leveraging partner tools (e.g., from AWS and others) to enable efficient and effective use of AI agents across the company. Focus on integration and utilization of existing PaaS/SaaS AI services over building bespoke platforms.
  • Technical expertise across:
    • Telecommunications and CPaaS
    • Cloud deployments, preferably public cloud and aaS deliveries
    • Implementation architecture
    • Modern development methods like DevSecOps etc
    • Security and compliance
  • Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead and motivate in an individual contributor role
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Communication skills, ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Adaptability: stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
